Have just gotten a doe (Alpine) who is due in mid Jan. and being new at it and am getting a lot of good tips from your site, very well done! I'm looking forward to the Real Milk as I am normally lactose intolerant but tried a couple of gallons of Real goat milk and got by fine. Blessings, dave

Yes, I do allow my does to dam raise kids. All of our does test neg also, so why not. Plus it comes in really handy to have a doe with mothering abilities if she kids and you dont happen to be there. I have bottle raised kids also, but feel its much more healthy for the kids to get their milk strait from mom, nose to nose contact allows the doe to produce antibodies for their babies when needed (such as if they are exposed to a virus or such, just like human moms do).
Thanks for your compliments, we work hard to try and keep the site up to date and entertainingbig grin

Hi, loved your site. Have 2 Nubians and want more. My goats are CAE free and were raised away from their Moms, not by me but by the breeder. I can see a kid sucking from her Mom in one of your pics. Do you separate them or not? I am interested in having my does bred and do not want to separate the kids from their moms which I think is inhumane. I know why they do it and understand it, but if my herd is CAE free and we always test negative, why can't we keep them together? Just thinking and wanted to know what your thoughts are. Kathy

I am just getting started in the goat business. I have three doelings right now and am looking for a buck. I was wondering if you still have Jamacian, how much he is, and if he is registered. I am also interested in Bertha if you still have her and when she is due.

Just viewing your sight. My son raised and showed two Saanen goats last year for 4-H, and thinks he may want to add a Toggenburg to his small collection. But you folks are too far away. We loved visiting your sight though, with the cute photos and the Does Honor! Many laughs!!! We use Fastrack in all of our livestock needs and have found it to be very useful. It is all natural, and some of our other dairy friends have increased their milk production and made new world records with its use. Feel free to visit www.family21.info to read and hear testimonials on Fastrack. I would be glad to answer any questions you may have in regards to Fastrack and connect you with other goat owners that swear by it! Sincerely, Janet Beck

Hello from Grinnell, IA! We raise Nubians and I was actually doing a search to see if our site would come up (doesn't seem to on google, maybe on page 70-something!) and came across your site, have been enjoying visiting it. Also was excited to see that you have Wynneshire in your herd, we do too, through some good friends in Idaho! Our website - www.jasperfarmiowa.com smile Great job on your site - Guinevere
