About Me
April "09 , Kis were beautiful white boer mix from the black Alpine doe kidded on Jan. 15. Learned a lot and sold the 3 month old, very fat and sassy kids on April 15th. They averaged 70 pounds. I still am in the hole on costs but the freezer is busting with milk! (Old stuff vvvvv) Married, wife Carolyne teaches at Gering Jr. Hi.. I take care of the family ranch in Carter Canyon 10mi. SW Gering. We run summer cattle and have a few (3) chickens for our eggs. After having traded some of my apple leather from our good apple tree for a couple of gallons of goat milk, I was hooked on "Real" milk, which worked much better with my lactose intolerance and was so good to boot! Bought an Alpine goat from Gloria's (Boer) goats (Scottsbluff) which is due mid January (09) with Boer mix kids. Am fairly clueless about goat "culture" so was fascinated by your site with it's many helpful hints. May want to "contract" for a couple of your good females if all goes well. Don't know if our goat is CAE free so would need to get her tested if I decide to expand . I am a health supplement buff with a B. A. in Biology/chem minor and have an interest in alternative health and alt. cancer research. There is so many great things out there for both! We go to Mitchell Berean Church and I have been going to Nicaragua for the last 3 years to visit and help Alberto a local missionary who we met when we taught school in Central America in the 80's and where our 3 kids got a "real" educational underpinning. Blessings!
