  Sr Boer does

This is our fifth  year doing commercial grade Boer goats. Our 3 daughters are involved in 4-H (our son isn't old enough, so he shows in open class still) and we pushed (and won) for a market wether class for the 2005 county fair here! (Now ,as of 2008, we can take our BoerX animals to 4-H auction !!)

Raines Ranch Gretchen

DOB: 2/2004

We purchased Gretchen from Leon Dallegge of Peetz Colorado in 2004. Unfortunately he didnt  have pedigrees on his Boer goats, so all I know is she is a Febuary 2004 kid. But regardless, she has beautiful Boer build and markings and she throws the most awesome big, stout, stocky kids we've ever seen! Her mothering abilities are wonderful, she has no kidding complications, and unlike allot of the Boers out there she has plenty of milk to grow them up!

Gretchen kidded  2/5/2009 with a beautiful set of bucklings, both will be retained for our herd and  shown at 4-H fair this year!

Raines Ranch Gretchen's Molly

Molly is one the  twin doelings Gretchen had this last 2008 season. Getting twin does from Gretchen and Joseph, we knew we had to keep one! we can only hope she takes after her dam and gives us big beefy kids!

Depot was purchased from Donna Meek in MO . He is 75% , a full brother to our new Boer doe Alana. We're in the process of registering him through the US Boer Goat Association as well.

His sire is a full blood Tri-Quest buck named Sky, who is a son to Tri-Quest Cash http://webzoom.freewebs.com/rainesranchgoats/cash.jpg. Cash is a very nice long bodied boy with full hindquarters. His grand dam is Tri-Quest Cia, CIA was an original imported embryo in 1995. She also has awesome legnth in body and full hindquarters. Cash' sire is Downens' BIG #85 http://webzoom.freewebs.com/rainesranchgoats/big85.jpg (Sire to the 1999 ABGA Grand Champion Senior Buck). Big was Ennobled in October 2000.
